There are two ways to connect a group — through the bot, or through the group's own admin settings.
Through the bot:
1. Go to Settings → New channel / group, or send the /addchannel command.
2. Tap Connect group.
3. Choose the group from the list, or use search.
Through the group's admin settings:
1. Open the Administrators section in the group settings.
2. Tap Add.
3. Type the bot's username in the search field.
4. Set the permissions and confirm adding the bot as an admin.

How do I transfer a channel to another admin?
You can move channels from the premium bot @posto; channels can't be moved from a scheduler bot. Make sure the other admin also has the premium bot activated.
- Send the
/settingscommand in the bot or tapSettingsin the bottom menu. - Choose the channel you want to transfer.
- Then tap
Transfer channel. - The bot generates two links: one to move the channel to another project, and one to transfer the channel to another user. Copy the second one.
- Send this link to the admin in a private message.
That's it. Now the admin needs to tap the link you sent — it will take them to the premium bot — and confirm the transfer.
When the channel is transferred, the other admin receives:
√ The entire content plan
√ The configured publication schedule
Not transferred:
- Posting templates
- Default settings
How do I change a channel's link in the bot?

- Tap
Update channel data.
How do I transfer a scheduler bot to another user
When you create your own scheduler bot, you automatically become its owner. If you want someone else to work in this bot too, you have two options:
- Give the person a smaller set of permissions than you have. For example, make them an admin or an editor who can manage posting. In that case, see:
2. Transfer owner rights to another person. In this case:
🔷 On your account, this scheduler bot disappears from the "My bots" section in the Posto bot builder, and appears on the other account instead.
🔷 The scheduler bot itself stays on your account and you can keep working in it, but you'll be downgraded from owner to administrator.
🔷 This bot appears on the other account with all of its configured settings:
- schedule
- content plan
- default settings
- templates
🔷 The owner of the other account becomes the bot's owner, and as the owner they can grant you a smaller set of permissions or remove you from administrators entirely — in which case you'll lose access to the bot.
To transfer owner rights to a scheduler bot, follow these steps:
- Open the Posto bot builder @posto_robot.
- Tap
My botsin the bottom menu or send the/mybotscommand. - Choose the bot whose rights you want to transfer from the list.
- Tap
Transfer rights→Allow ownership change. - Tell the new owner to open @posto_robot, then send the
/newbotcommand and the bot token. (You received this token from @BotFather when you created the bot.) - Forward the token to the new owner in a private message.
How do I rename a project?
When you start using Posto, your first project is created automatically with a random name. You can rename this project, as well as any others you create later.
To do this:
- Open the "My projects" section in your bot.
- Tap
Manage→Rename project. - Choose the project you want to rename from the list.
- Send the new name.
💡 A project can only be renamed on your own account. If other editors work in this project, the name stays the same for them.
